The Texoma Board Forum hosted by the Corpus Christi chapter of the Executive Women International (EWI) welcomed 40 conference attendees for a two day meetup of chapters from Texas (Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas) and Oklahoma (Tulsa, Oklahoma City). The day started on a high note, Friday, August 2, 2019 at noon, with our Honorable Barbara Canales, Nueces County Judge, followed by Dr. Diana Ivy-TAMUCC, delivering a fantastic topic “In Confidence: Fake It ‘Til You Make it!” and ending with our own Chapter Member Debbie Lindsay Opel, sharing her technique on how to build better teams at work, to get great results!!  The day was filled with many learning moments. The perfect conference day was followed by munchies at the Hospitality suite followed by a leisurely boat ride around Corpus Christi Bay and some Art Walk entertainment.

Saturday was also a great follow up to Friday, with Valero, a member firm represented by Darcy Schroeder, with her topic “Everyone Has a Story. How to Get Yours Heard While Learning to Listen to Others.” The last event was a panel, “Communication across Generations” with Lorena Parada-Valdez, past EWI Member,  Barbie Baker, new EWI member and Diane LaRue also a Chapter Member. All the wonderful events made Saturday Morning worth getting up early for, since we needed to be there by 8:30!!! Thanks Jackie Ray, Omni Sales Manager and Chapter Member,  for all your help! Special thanks to Lorette Williams with Flatiron/Dragados, LLC and Chapter Member, for being a terrific Conference Facilitator!!!

Donna Patterson with South Texas Money Management, thank you for accepting the challenge to host the Texoma Board Forum!  Diane LaRue, with Melaleuca Inc. for coordinating all the logistics and lining up the speakers and for the superb team you put together to make it all happened. And welcome, Judith Cutright  with Cutright Communications, that made her first EWI meeting, by attending the Texoma Board Forum!!
